Quan A. Abazie

Quan is the Founder and Executive Director of SYEEC, with more than 13 years as an educator serving communities across Columbus, Ohio, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Ghana, West Africa. A decorated U.S. Army combat veteran of the Gulf War, her service shaped the resilience behind her first book. Through SYEEC, she is committed to supporting youth in the foster care system and youth transitioning from juvenile correctional facilities, while collaborating with community leaders and educators across Ghana's Central, Western, and Volta Regions.
